Los Independientes FC is a community-based football club located in Wānaka, New Zealand.

The mens team was started in 2022 and competes in the Santana Minerals Central Lakes Football League (CLFL), specifically in the Aspiring Division. 

The womens team, the first 11-a-side womens team to represent Wānaka, was formed in 2025 to compete in the newly formed CLFL Women and won the league in its inaugural season.

The club is active both on and off the field. They social football sessions every Sunday at Kelly Flat and Wednesday evenings at the Wānaka Recreation Centre. Promoting the clubs ethos of inclusivity and encouraging community participation in the sport. 

Additionally, Los Independientes FC organises social events, such as Latin Night fundraisers, to foster team spirit and community engagement.

One of the club’s notable achievements includes retaining the Mt Iron Trophy in the derby matches against Wānaka AFC who play in the same league, highlighting their competitive presence in the local football scene.
